| Was
founded in Pedrajas de San Esteban (Valladolid ) on April
13, 1985, as a result of the need to associate that arose
between producers Castilians of pine kernel , motivated
by the crisis facing the sector and heavy dependence that
for marketing, primarily in foreign markets , had the
great industrial, located primarily in Reus and Granollers.
At
that tiem producers Castilians suffer from dependence
on the marketing of their products , as, due to economic
recession , exporters Catalans give only outlet for products
of own production, to the detriment of producers Castilians. |

Under
the guidance of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry
of Valladolid , starting in early 1985 the necessary
steps to bring together a group representing most
of the producers of the pine kernel region.
They
are essentially 27 producers in the region who
make up society.

PIÑONES
DE CASTILLA is marked as a priority objective
to open markets abroad to cover this important plot that
until then was covered by large firms. After a few years
with poor performance during the nineties the company
was consolidating, getting 97 in the year prize Europe
as a businessman of the year, currently maintaining trade
relations with countries as diverse as Italy, Belgium
, England , Israel , EEUU, Germany and Switzerland among
others.

With
a turnover exceeding 10 million euros , and with
more than 75% of their production to the foreign
market, reached a market share of approximately
30% and is the second company exporting at the
national level, having expanded the number of
partners until 53.
First
Spanish business sector in possession of the certificate
ISO 9001: 2000 . In 2004 the company has made
a strong investment in machinery to meet market
demands and increase production by 40%.

2007 , PIÑONES DE CASTILLA, not only is committed
to providing a quality product , but also safe for the consumer,
so it embarked on a project for introducing a system of
management of food safety based on Standard ISO 22000: 2005
, which culminated on October 31 to obtain a certificate. |
